First Night. The words sound rather harmless until you know what they stand for. For us, it means the end of the world as we knew it. The start of the zombie plague that now overruns the world. The phrase is also deceptive, because it took close to three months for the entirety of the United States to fall to the plague. But now, now the world is nothing like it was. There are zombies everywhere. There are hints of places being built as safe havens, but finding them is hard. And ensuring the safety of those places is even harder. There are rumors of a place called Sanctuary, but how can you have hope of finding it when finding shelter is hard enough? And now there are tales of a place called Gameland, where people are thrown to the zombies, as well as a religious group that is slaughtering groups of survivors. Finding hope in this world, it is a challenge that many can’t rise to. But how could you expect anyone to with all the things we lost? Survival is now key, the only hope most of us have.

We're an AU site based on the book series Rot & Ruin. Its been one year since the zombie plague started, just enough time for people to start to put roots down again and have hope of finding a safe haven.
