[googlefont="Engagement"] Bunking down for the night. It was always a relief for Eden. She had been with the group for about a week now and she had nothing to do with scouting out places for them to stay. Her skill in the group so far was not dying. And taking care of zoms that they came across if she needed to lend a hand. Plus, she had helped the group clear out the rest of the building she had been hiding in, letting them know which apartments she had already looted and which ones probably still had people in them. Apparently, it had been enough to gain her free ride for a while as she had yet to be asked to do anything else for them. But it was enough for the moment. She would take it and be happy. It meant that she would be sleeping in the middle of a group of people in what she assumed was a fairly safe building. She’d definitely take those odds and any others that they were willing to throw at her. Eden dropped her pack to the ground, frowning at it as it basically deflated. There was nothing left in it of any use at the moment. They had already rationed out the food that had been in her pack and she had a coat tucked in the bag. But it wasn’t enough to fill it up like it had been when she was living in her old apartment. Eden sank to the ground with her pack, leaving her bokken strapped to her back as her eyes roamed the room she was in. The building they had decided to bunk in used to be a bank. It meant that there were few places to sleep with any real privacy but people on the first watch would be in the lobby and then the four offices had been turned into makeshift sleeping spaces. It would work. Eden pushed the bloodied computer chair away from her with her foot as she leaned back against the desk. There was only one door into the room. And a window. Two ways in, which meant two exits. Those were odds that she liked and she was sure as hell shutting the door for the night whenever whoever decided they were bunking down with her for the night. She didn’t make the calls on who she shared space with just yet. She hadn’t earned that place. Her eyes drifted out the door, watching the two guys who were on first watch set up the area. Out of the ten of them currently in this group, she was okay with those two on watch. ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY

♚ i've been practicing my patience , Freya hated this new group more than anything. All she wanted to do was leave with the rest of her group, but it seemed that her husband had already started a bond with one of the guys. To be honest, the red head was scared, but she made sure to stay by her brother and brother-in-law's side the whole time. At this point her husband only seemed to care about himself and the other two agreed. They were there to protect her and she was glad to be protected by them and not her husband. Her husband didn't give a damn about her survival anymore. Freya sat against one of the walls closest to the entrance with her head rested on her brother-in-law's shoulder. She had been asleep with him keeping watch in case something bad happened like one of those zombs breaking in or one of the new people in the group going psycho on them.
In an instant she jolted awake and looked around. "What happened?" Freya asked turning to her brother-in-law. After a shrug and telling her that she only imagined something happening, she shook her head and lifted herself off the floor. "I'm going to go look around." She spoke before moving away from him. She felt a hand clamp around her wrist and she immediately looked back to see him shaking his head. "I'll be fine. I'll scream if something goes wrong." Freya whispered. As she waited for him to let her go, she looked around to try and find her husband who seemed to be no where in site. Why should she care for him anymore? She knew in the beginning that she chose the wrong guy to marry. Well, she didn't realise it until now, but she should of really married her brother-in-law who was a thousand times more protective.
She made her way over toward the other side of the bank and noticed two guys standing guard. She looked at them and watched as they moved out of the way for her to enter the room. A thank you didn't even escape her lips because those guys seemed like jerks to begin with so she just walked inside and looked around. Noticing the computer covered in blood on the floor, she moved over and took a seat across from another female who seemed to be the only other female in their "group".
"You're Eden, right?" She asked trying to make small talk. || template designed by NEMO of adoxography ||

Eden shifted as she watched the guys roam outside. It was a bit nerve wrecking to have this new set up. She was still so used to being alone in her apartment for months that the presence of other people made her a bit jumpy. Feral wasn’t quite the right word for her, she still had some of her humanity left. But feral wasn’t too far off at this point. She would rather cut someone down than attempt to carry on a conversation with them. Though it seemed that someone in the group hadn’t gotten that notice about her just yet. Eden lifted her hand to the handle of her bokken, comfortable letting her hand rest on the hilt of her training sword as she eyed the woman that came into the room she planned on sleeping in. As she let her eyes follow the other woman, she realized that she was new. One of the group of four that had been tacked on to their original group. Eden didn’t know how exactly it had happened but she wasn’t arguing. There had been three men with the woman and none of them had seemed like the type of person who was going to slack off. That was enough for Eden. But as the woman settled into a sitting position, Eden tightened her grip on her bokken, ready to draw the hard wood from its protective sheath. But then the woman asked her name and Eden felt like crumpling then and there. It had been so long since she’d had anyone ask her name, let alone bother to know it without knowing her. At this point, most people in the group still called her girl. Or biter. She got that one quite a bit after her stunt when the guy who had dragged her kicking and screaming from her apartment. He had learned his lesson and he gave her a death glare every time the two of them came into contact, which was far more often than she wanted it to be. Eden’s hand loosened around the hilt and she dropped her hand back to her lap, nodding her head. “Eden Moreau. Though I suppose last names don’t matter around here anymore, huh?” A sadness flickered through her eyes as she said it, making her quickly turn her head away from the other woman. “Sorry. I didn’t get your name when your group was brought in. Its uh…I don’t know how to let myself be close to people just yet. I was…” Eden shook her head, lifting her hand to wave away what she had been saying. “So who are you? And how the hell did these thugs pick you guys up?” Eden lifted one brow at the other woman, obviously still quite annoyed about being with the group though part of her was thankful for her inclusion into the pack for the time being. ♚ i've been practicing my patience , Freya's eyebrows raised once the woman - Eden - started to go in a different direction with her voice. How did the thugs pick them up? It was pretty simple and had to do with one vote. Her husband was the group "leader", but now the three of them were thinking maybe they should think otherwise of who the leader was. Basically everything that he said went and he wanted to go with the group. "Well, Eden, to be honest - " Freya began as she brushed a strand of hair behind her ear, "- my husband." That was it. That was her answer and all she was going to say because it was the truth. Her husband didn't listen to the three of them when they voted because, well, the group didn't attack them. Obviously whatever the three of them said didn't mean anything because here they were with the group and another. A sigh escaped her lips and she sat there with her eyes on the ground thinking about the past few months and how everything went in chaos between the three of the boys.
She grabbed her wedding ring that hung on a chain around her neck and rested her head against the wall. She didn't even want to ask Eden how she became part of the group because it most likely would upset the woman since she went in a different direction with Freya. "I'm fine, Jaimeson, honestly." Freya spoke before turning her head toward her brother-in-law who stood in the doorway looking between her and Eden. "Go," He nodded and walked back to her brother.
"So who are you with?" She asked because there could be no way she was alone.

[googlefont="Engagement"] Eden lifted her brows at the other woman as she gave her a very simple answer. One that honestly only made her want to ask more questions. Like, how the hell did this woman’s husband decide that it was a good idea to get involved with these people? Maybe it came down to surviving. Though these people wouldn’t be the group that she selected, she understood the necessity of people like this. She would have never lasted a minute without these people out here in the wilderness. If you could call it that. The city was perhaps a better word for where they were. They had been walking through Nashville and the surrounding suburbs since they had picked her up, attempting to loot any place that wasn’t occupied. And sometimes raiding those that were. But Eden wasn’t a part of that and hoped desperately that she never had to be. She didn’t want to pull someone from their set up like had been done to her. She didn’t want to be the person responsible for that kind of pain and insecurity. Eden’s eyes landed on the man standing at the door at that point as the other woman addressed him. Did they see her as a threat? She wasn’t sure. And honestly for the time being, she thought it was better that she didn’t know the answer to that question. Obviously the other female had decided that she wasn’t a danger. At least not at this point. It was nice to see that people were sticking together with the other woman though. Cared about her safety. It was a reassuring, almost hopeful sight. Eden started shaking her head at the other female’s question though. “No one.” It was a bit of a blunt answer and it came out harsher than Eden had meant for it. But there wasn’t a way to make it softer. “These people found me holed up in my old apartment. Brought me on.” She lifted her shoulders in a shrug like it was the only explanation that was needed, though there were dark shadows hidden in that narrative. Shadows that would haunt and follow Eden for the rest of her life. ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY

♚ i've been practicing my patience , No one else with her? Did she hear that right? Freya looked back at the other female in amazement. That just seemed sad to her. Sad that no one else was there by her side protecting her who she knew personally. Well, whatever Eden's past was Freya was just glad to have her two mighty men by her side and then her husband. Freya couldn't imagine living alone in this messed up world trying to get day by day. She needed someone by her side at all times and luckily she had someone.
After a few moments on them both not making talk, Freya looked up. "So.... I can leave if you'd like." Freya spoke barely a whisper but enough for Eden to hear. She turned her head and looked at the two men who stood guard and rolled her eyes. Why were they the ones who had to stand guard? He husband and that one man he seemed to be hanging out with the past few days could of been guards, but nope. Instead, the guards had to be these two guys. They weren't the best guards, but at least they were two of the nicer guards in the group. She turned back to Eden and showed a slight smile waiting to see if she would respond. After all, Freya did walk in and just sit down to try an make conversation with the woman. So far Eden wasn't trying to talk like Freya so maybe it was best if she did leave.
